Sharvani Laxmi Somayaji

I am an MSc student in Computing Science at the University of Alberta (Amii). I am co-supervised by Nathan R. Sturtevant and Marlos C. Machado.

My research primarily focuses on POMDPs, Embeddings, Search, Representation Learning in Reinforcement Learning. Prior to beginning my graduate studies, I worked on Generative AI systems (Marquee AI) for Marquee at Goldman Sachs and contributed to Vowpal Wabbit alongside the Real World RL team at Microsoft Research NYC. I hold a BTech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (minor in Computer Science) from NITK Surathkal where I worked with Mohit P. Tahiliani on socket statistics for ns-3.
